By substituting some Magnesium atoms with other metals (Copper), new Platelets with new activities and potencies is engineered. Our technology destroys biofilms and then destroy the bacteria within them. Bacteria often exist within a complex ‘gel-like’ matrix called Biofilm, the same envelopment as COVID-19. Bacteria within biofilms are over 1,000-fold more resistant antibiotics. NanoPlatelets can destroy the chemical matrix of the biofilm and then follow up by killing the pathogens inside them.
